Loved here watched the game and of course at very good. The staff was polite and very professional will highly recommend.

This place is great, the staff was super friendly and the food was great. We had the fried pickles and the supreme deluxe pizza, the pickles were perfectly crispy and the pizza was the best pizza I ever had it was full of toppings and had a nice perfect thick crust. I will definitely go back here.

Awesome neighborhood bar. Great food, great atmosphere and Tawnya is the best bartender in Des Moines.

Sports bar atmosphere. Everything every time I have been there and takeout has been as ordered. Great choices and everything tasty!

I enjoy their fried cheese curds and fried pickle spears. The donuts for dessert are simple and delicious. There are plenty of food options for a main course. If you enjoy bar food, and don 't want a bar atmosphere, go early in the day and have some great food. If you like it more lively, leave small kids at home, and have a fun evening out. They sometimes have live music, games (only if you want to play), and other entertainment in the evenings.Kid-friendliness: The Chicken Coop has a bar type setup. We had supper early enough that it was kid (teenager) friendly. I could see that some parents with small kids might not like some of the sports playing on the tvs. And the bar is visible from most seating areas.Parking: The Chicken Coop is part of a strip mall so there is plenty of free parking.
