During my last few visits, the salsa bar featured items that were several days old and starting to ferment, which was evident from the bubbles in the containers. The food itself has also deteriorated. I typically order the steak burrito, but I've been getting pieces that are burnt to a crisp, which ruins the whole experience. I really want to love this place, but they need to improve. If there were another Mexican restaurant nearby, I would probably choose to go there instead.
The food is absolutely wonderful with generous portion sizes. My favorite dish is the California burrito; it’s so big that I can never finish it!
Both dishes were extremely dry and contained very little cheese. I was disappointed, especially since the location closer to me usually has better quality.
I noticed that they tried to charge me an extra $1.00 for my meal. I realized this because when I went to a different location, my exact same order was a dollar cheaper. I'm not sure why they would do that, but when I confronted the staff, the woman simply lied and claimed it had always been priced that way. Additionally, I've heard from two friends that customers have gotten sick after eating at this location, which is definitely concerning.
The interior of the restaurant is consistently clean and well-maintained. The exterior is in good condition and is situated in the large parking lot of Ream's Grocery at 9000 South, which can accommodate vehicles of all sizes, including those towing trailers. However, be aware that the drive-thru is not suitable for trailers. The food is always freshly made to order and is incredibly tasty. One tip: make sure to double-check your order before leaving the window.
