El Pollo Loco - West Jordan

I went on Tuesday for the leg and thigh flour business. I've never been in this chain. What we received were two leg and back meal. The chicken was over boiled and the chips and guacamole sold them to me because he said they were fresh not fresh. I won't do that again.

We had trouble communicating our requests, as the staff seemed unsure of their menu offerings. Unfortunately, the rice we received was subpar and difficult to eat. However, the manager promptly replaced it with fresh rice once we brought it to their attention. When we asked for a box to take our leftovers home, the cashier informed us that they didn’t have any boxes, which required the manager’s assistance to resolve. While the food itself was good, there was a noticeable gap in communication and a lack of familiarity with their offerings. Perhaps the staff is still new or in need of more training.

I spoke with the manager and she was really nice and felt so bad. She mentioned that they haven't received their shipment for the plates/containers they normally use so they had to use the clear plastic containers. She mentioned that they never received any feedback about the containers melting but she was glad I brought it to their attention. Hopefully this will help them get the right containers/plates to use. They packed my hot chicken in a clear plastic container and yes, the plastic obviously melted. I don't know why they thought this was a good idea but I do think it's safe to eat food from a melted container.

I ordered 2 Chicken Burritos using the app and once I returned home I realized that I got 2 burrito with nothing but rice and a smidgen beans. NO Chicken! Normally it's a good place to eat but no this time.

I wish I had checked the recent reviews because my experience was terrible. I haven't felt this cheated in quite some time. I only got a couple of bites of chicken from a leg and about the same from the thigh, despite paying full price! My husband ordered the chicken breast, for which I paid an extra dollar, and it was even smaller than the leg; it was dry and unappetizing. I'm really disappointed! This used to be our favorite restaurant, but I won't be returning until the reviews improve.
