99 Restaurants - West Lebanon

My wife and I (interracial couple) arrived at approximately 5 pm Nov 26 "22 for early dinner. The place was pretty empty having about 3 tables occupied in dining area and one table in the pub area taken. The hostess automatically directed us to the pub area where there were high top tables for four or two and a seats at the bar and a high top booth that could seat 4 to 6. I turned to look at the dining area and saw plenty of seating available and was looking to see where I might like to seat but the hostess redirected me to the bar. I asked if we could sit in dinning area and she said no that the dining area was full at the time and insisted we seat in the bar section. I was baffled but decided to take her word and proceeded to the bar area and headed for the booth with comfortable seating. The hostess inquired why didn 't I take on of the high top tables for two or four I replied that I wanted comfortable seating. After my wife and I were seated I watched the same hostess seat party after party of various numbers in the dining area without directing anybody into the pub area. Did all those people have reservations and was the whole dining area booked for the dinner seating ? I inquired this of the girl who delivered our meals and she could not understand why we were refused seating in the dining area. She also said she would have a manager come talk to us. We finished our meals and the manager still did not come so we asked our waitress (whom was very goo by the way) and then we got a visit from the manager. He listened and implied various excuses but having worked in the restaurant business knew they did not hold water and am still wondering what was the underlying reason the hostess behaved such ....... I am older and my black African wife is quite younger. Did this hostess have issue with our difference in age or was it racially motived.......... ? We most likely won 't rush to have any meals at The 99 Restaurant chain again ..................!!

Cannot vote the staff they were really friendly and helpful unfortunately on this visit to the USA I have found the food quality to have dropped considerably which is a great shame because I know a lot of places in the past have delivered the most amazing food. The fries were cold and were for the first time ever a very small portion on the plate. My mother-in-law had the fish and chips and the fish was actually quite rubbery and we could only think that it was dry cod that had been rehydrated or overcooked. Unfortunately this chain of restaurants we will not be visiting again.

Service was perfect! Yup you read that right. Perfect! Thank you to the staff! They were Friendly and accommodating. Food was hot! And cooked well! Steak tips were delicious! Chicken wings were great! Thanks for everything!

A great place to bring the family for dinner. The wait staff was extremely friendly and prompt, Tristan was extremely helpful and very personable. Our food was delicious. Steak tips, soup, salad, Mac and cheese. We couldnt have asked for a better meal after a long day of exploring the region. Thank you again!

Our waitress was fantastic (we sat in the bar area). She was kind, attentive, and funny. The food was perfect for our needs. My daughter ordered a side of rice with her food, and fries came out instead. It wasn't a big deal, we weren't going to say anything, and she was just going to go with it, but the manager realized and profusely apologized and brought her rice on the side.
