Upon arrival, no hostess at the front and several couples waiting to be seated despite a nearly empty dining room, consisting of 1 other table with a toddler screaming and running wild with no regard. We ordered appetizers, that never arrived. We reminded staff that we ordered them and they were delivered as our main course was served. Upon asking for a second beverage, server notified entire table that last call had already taken place and no further drinks would be served. We were largely unimpressed by the quality of food for the price, as for the experience our chef seemed friendly but exhausted did not engage guests at all. I can think of many other restaurants I would rather spend almost $200 and to be made to feel like an inconvenience.
This place is way over rated. Absolutely not worth the money.
We usually go every year for Valentine’s Day with my kiddos it has become a tradition to go to hibachi only on that day and we have been doing it for almost a decade I have to admit I was extremely disappointed last night and will probably go someplace else next then unfortunately because Benihana was our it spot…. The food wasn’t great and the service was ehhhh
So sorry to say, but I did not have a good experience at this Benihana Restaurant. Everything was good until we were sat. Me and my boyfriend got sat at the curve of the table in-between 2 little kids. I know hibachi is all about the experience and kids love it so we didn 't think anything of it! But then when they started to make the food, I noticed the little boy next to me took my napkin and fork, when I asked the server for a knew napkin and fork, she brought me a new napkin only, then I asked for a new fork, and she said oh this one is yours and slid the napkin and fork, in possession of the little boy, back over to me. I would have taken it if it had not already been contaminated with the used chopsticks the little boy use for his appetizer, not to mention the little boy was then giving me the death stare after she tried to give me his napkin and fork. THEN, when the chef was starting to serve the food the little boy next to me grabbed my plate and had his hands all over the top of the plate. When I asked for a new plate, they tried to give me the plate that was in front of the little boy and his family, with a used spoon on it! I had to ask multiple times and explain to why I needed a new clean plate. the restaurant could have avoided this all if they had just sat me and my boyfriend on the end and the two younger boys next to each other instead of us in the middle of two 10-12 year old kids. I know its not all the restaurants fault that some people don 't have any authority over their kids, but if I ask for a new plate and fork there should be no questions to explain why! I had to explain the situation to the server and the chef, which also involved everyone at the table to hear and cause people in the little boys family to get offended. Also didn 't like how they refilled drinks by taking the used cup and using the same cup and old straw, how do I know that my old glass and straw didn 't get mixed up with someone else 's at the bar?? GROSS!!!!!
I had a 7:30 reservation and wasn’t seated until after 8pm. I also asked the waiter to sing Happy Birthday to my husband and my request was ignored.
