Contribuer aux commentairesKB is a great place to have a special birthday luncheon, with friends!! I enjoyed celebrating my birthday with family and friends and Kevin, Jamie and all of their staff made a lasting impression. We were given a choice of two appetizers the pear and onion bruschetta was delicious), four entrées, all of which were good and two desserts: carrot cake and they made it without coconut, as some guests had allergies and a flavourful chocolate torte. Overall, the service and food was excellent!!!
Have been meaning to go here for quite some time, we finally made and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing. The grilled Octopus starter followed by the Tuna I was in heaven. The rest of my group who love pasta devoured the pasta with lamb ragout. It nice to know I have another go to restaurant in Durham.
What has happened to this restaurant? Ordered calamari…so chewy couldn’t eat it and had to send it back. Our first bottle of wine was off. Ordered the duck. Big disappointment…the fat was not rendered and the skin was not crispy. Very underwhelmed with the duck.
We arrived as 'first timers ' for dinner on a wknd evening. Incredible welcome from the maitre d ' and escorted to our table. Great atmosphere
Was looking forward to a birthday dinner out as KB had so many good reviews. Starters the lobster bisque was so salty it was inedible. No lobster near it, I think chef opened a tin of tomato soup and added salt. The manager suggested some bread to go with, but 10 minutes later he came back with 3 burnt pieces of toast. We also tried the whipped feta appetizer. No where on the menu did it say with white anchovies. But there they were yuck. Were told that's how it comes. No one ate it. The mains were just ok, my pasta dish was also too salty to eat but I didn't want to complain again so I had a few bites of my daughters dinner and came home and had a sandwich. If there is a chef in the kitchen he needs to go back for a refresher course as that was one of the worst meals I have had, and it wasn't cheap. Not even a slice of pie for the birthday boy
