My husband enjoyed the wings, which were excellent, and the sweet potato fries with cinnamon butter were delicious. My beef sandwich was bursting with flavor, truly out of this world. The only downside was that the au jus sauce was poured directly onto the sandwich, making the bottom bun quite soggy.
Tonight (a Saturday), we arrived around 8:40 PM, only to be told by the hostess that they wouldn’t be seating anyone else for the rest of the night because the kitchen was closing early. We were really disappointed, especially since this was our first visit back after their remodeling. The hostess was polite, but not even at 9 PM on a Saturday, and you’re stopping service when they’re supposed to be open until midnight? We were more than willing to wait, especially since there aren't many other places nearby that stay open past 9. Later, while scrolling through their social media to check for updates, I came across comments from the owner saying it’s “hard to compete with free money from the government” and that no one wants to work. I was really disheartened to see that, as I thought the owner was a reasonable person. However, I can’t support a business that blames everyone but themselves for their staffing issues. I don’t think we’ll be returning, and it truly feels like the end of an era for us.
We really loved this restaurant! It had a wonderful atmosphere, and the servers were all friendly and quick. I ordered the huge pretzel for dinner, while my partner chose the chicken Alfredo. He finished every bite, so it must have been delicious! My pretzel was delightful and clearly meant for sharing. It came with four dips: ground mustard (which was good), cinnamon butter (also good), cream cheese (just okay), and beer cheese (not good at all). Usually, beer cheese is one of my favorites, but this one was tasteless—probably the worst I've ever had. This is the only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five.
When we wanted to sit outside, we often had to serve ourselves: ordering at the bar and retrieving our own food and drinks because it took too long. In our recent visits, at least one member of our party either didn't receive their meal or ended up with it boxed up to go. It either got forgotten by the kitchen or the waitstaff, or they simply didn’t realize they had run out of items until everyone else at the table had been served. As an attempt to compensate for the mishaps, they removed the one person’s meal from the bill. But that doesn’t fix the issue—now that person is left watching the rest of us eat without anything to enjoy. What’s the point of adjusting the bill if the food still doesn’t arrive? If you're looking to have just a few drinks, then this might be the place for you. But if you’re in the mood to wait indefinitely while half your group goes without food, then this is also the spot for that. The waitstaff even acknowledged that the ordering issues stemmed from the owners’ poor management of the restaurant, showing they recognize the service is lacking. The only positive aspect of our experience was that my drink was always full and my children did manage to eat. Hence, I've given it one star.
My partner and I always enjoy coming here. The food is fantastic, and the staff is wonderful! Highly recommended.
