Wowwww it was one of the best deserts that I have ever tasted and it was in a steak restaurant. By the way... the service was great as well.
My fife, our daughter and I went to have lunch at this restaurant while visiting the market in Vienna in October 2015. We had steak Tartare as appetizer and a beef, pork and chicken combination presented with grilled vegetables that was enough for the three of us and a bottle of Claus Preisinger wine that was a very good experience. The dishes were very well presented and the meats were juicy, tender and full of delicious flavor, this was without a doubt the best meal we had during our whole stay in Vienna, service by the owner was fast, professional and on time, we were introduce to the chef, a very nice 19 year old young man who we think has a great future. Price was average for Vienna, the place was nicely decorated and we just regret we did not have enough time to come back for another delicious meal. If you go to Vienna, you cannot miss this restaurant.
The place is not existing anymore. It burned down few month ago and never opened again. The space was added to 'Asia Times ' an asian restsurant run by turks.
Visited this restaurant with two friends, and we were seated at a 6 pax table since this was the only place left. The waiter was not very polite, and when new people entered (3 pax) they were seated at our table without asking. I ended up sitting opposite of a lady whilst having dinner with friends. Furthermore, the food was good but for the price we expected a bit more. Also, there was a strange addition to the bill of 1,90€ per pax which was strange to us.
We were wandering the Naschmarkt area looking (and failing) to find something right (the one we hoped for was full, the next was too smoky and the third we closed our menus and left when the food looked too touristy), when we tried Steakviertal. We wanted to try traditional Austrian so ordered the Wiener Schnitzel, which was well presented and tasty. The food we saw arriving at other tables looked excellent also. No decaff coffee served, so we couldn't finish as we wanted but still very pleased with our experience. The price was good. The area we were in was very small, with a limited number of tables, although meals were being taken out of the door on occasion so perhaps there was an annexe?
