View is amazing, service is more than terrible. They don’t seat people so you have to fight your way to a table. After waiting for more than half an hour for a table, the service we recieved from the waitress was apauling, simply disgraceful. She wanted to take our order before offering us a menu and the menu we were finally given was only available in Swiss german. She ignored us when we tried to get her attention. We were so disgusted and 100% disappointed with the service we received that we walked out. Total waste of time and do not recommend to anyone who knows what human decency is. Would recommend to anyone who wants their time wasted.

This restaurant is one of two restaurants in Santis cable car station at the top of Santis mountain range. You have to take a cable car for 10 mins which runs every 30 mins to take up to 85 persons to this restaurant. We have a free breakfast here as a hotel guest at Santis das hotel. Recommend.

Had a wonderful time to see my sister, other family members and friends. This was the reason for our trip from Los Angeles to Switzerland, to celebrate my sisters 60th Birthday on the top of the Saentis. The Brunch selections were amazing and very local, which I loved. The regional live music was great for awhile, but after an hour you had enough, and it was hard to converse already when the setting was a long table. We all had a wonderful time even that day the mountain top was embraced by fog and you couldn't see anything. The most important part was the exceptional experience we all had, to take the cable car, get up there and then to be together with family. One comment, I have to make about the service, it was not happening, just clearing plates and provide beverage service was a true challenge.

Aufgrund der Corona-Situation war es wieder an der Zeit, dem Säntis einen Besuch abzustatten. Das Wetter war sehr gut, trotzdem gab es Bewegung am Himmel. Von der einzigartigen Terrasse aus konnte man ein spannendes Naturschauspiel beobachten. Auch die mit dem Wind spielenden Bergdohlen waren überall präsent. Das Essen, Appenzeller Südwörscht mit Aelplermagronen und Apfelmus, entsprach unseren Erwartungen. Unser Ziel war es, den Säntis zu besuchen und ein regionales Menü zu genießen, das zur Umgebung passt. Das Restaurant liegt auf 2500 m über dem Meeresspiegel, daher entspricht das Preisniveau des Restaurants ungefähr der Höhe des Betriebs. Trotz des großen Besucherandrangs waren die vielen Mitarbeiterinnen bestens organisiert.

Das Restaurant ist sehr schön, sauber, gemütlich und das Personal ist freundlich. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Die Säntis-Röschti ist besonders zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft. Die Musik, die aus den Lautsprechern kommt, könnte jedoch einheimischer sein.
