1st Time eating here and delicious food great service...

Cool little truck stop, needs a better restroom area... I mean a one stall restroom at a truck stop, come on man!

Late in the afternoon so the chicken wasn't fresh,but it's usually always good ,so check them out

Found this place hiding In the handy mart right off 70. I'm from New bern and I don't know many places around here (live in clayton) and I was so TICKLED to see the selection of good old down home cooking they have. They even have FRESH spots and other seafood! And gizzards! The man that runs the place sat and talk to me while I was waiting and was just as friendly as can be. The girls at the counter were sweet too. This place is a hidden gem and an icon of Southern culture. I'm gonna be a regular from now on. Plan on going every chance I get!

BBQ is awesome. Flounder is great I try and get the Flounder atleast once a month. Hush puppies go great with BBQ sandwich and a large sweet tea my favorite lunch if I'm close by
