Had the most amazing roast dinner today, everything was cooked to perfection and the gravy was out of this world (haven’t touched gravy in 20 years converted. Staff are extremely polite, highly recommend this beautiful village pub.
My sister in law had booked a table for lunch Saturday 30 March. This morning on the same day of the booking the Six Bells rang to inform her that they would have to cancel her booking as they now have a “film crew” in for lunch. Thank you so very much for informing her at such a late stage, guite obviously the “film crew” are more important, just hope that they are regular customers over the days when your business needs it. Time will tell.... Very bad show and so “word of mouth” when asked will reflect this bad day experience advising others of this very bad practise.
Oh dear, we were cancelled last minute due to them having a film crew in for lunch. As we had booked for over a fortnight how long did they know the film crew were going to be there. Obviously they only want locals when they haven't got any body important (I use that term loosely) using their pub. Hope the film crew are going to be regulars.
A lovely dog friendly village pub. It was busy and quite cramped on our first visit so we didn 't stay for long. We returned a couple of weeks later with some family members and it was a lot quieter so we managed to get a table. As the evening went on it did get busier but having the table meant that we didn 't feel as cramped and 'in the way ' as we had previously. The choice of food on the menu is all lot better than the typical basic 'pub grub ' food served in most pubs. The service was good and the food was enjoyed by all.
