Ruth's Chris Steak House - Winter Park

The food was fantastic, as always, the service a bit lacking, reminders required for requests more than once. We prefer bar area seating, right at the bar is better than bar table in terms of service.

My wife cutting her filet mignon was a great Mother's Day present. The prices are sky-high, but it's such a treat to get food and drinks that helped to justify the expense. My New York Strip was fabulous, as were the tuna tartare and goat cheese dip appetizers, sweet potatoes and baked potato. The service was attentive without being irritating. It was a memorable experience.

The food is always excellent, I believe that 500° plates are the key to the quality of their food. Our server, Jonathan, greatly enhanced the quality of our experience. Thank you! 

Waitress Kathleen was amazing so my experience does not reflect her service. My husband received a $250 gift card from his company for Christmas. When we went to use it, the restaurant said it had already been used in Portland Oregon on April 27th. I have never been to Portland and the manager said it appears to be fraud. He told us to call a phone number which was incorrect and offered us no other assistance. In fact, once he left our table he never came back nor did he care if we were able to resolve the problem. If your restaurant has gift card services, I would assume management has some capability to resolve issues or at least assist with finding out how customers can make it right. The experience was poor at best and I will not be dining with them again. We will also be warning his company that purchasing gift cards for this restaurant is not a good idea since there is no fraud security.

Our server was fantastic; professional and still personable. The lobster bisque was not to our liking, it had an odd taste. The salads were perfect, as were our filets, spot on. However, the potatoes au gratin were less than favorable, we should have selected the garlic mash potatoes instead. The asparagus was fair. The music background was very odd, and it did not seem to mesh well with the interior and mood. Overall 4/5.
