I guess the folks in the neighborhood haven't had big chilled pieces of fresh fish before. BTW, the pricing is obnoxious to boot!
Made reservations for 8pm still very packed when we got in a few minutes early but they seated us right at 8. You can make reservations on resy about a month out. Parking is located right next to restaurant but it's a very small parking area. There is street parking available too. Ambiance was okay, moderate noise since it's a small restaurant not as intimate as you would expect for a place that serves omakase. My brother and his fiancé ordered the sushi omakase which includes 10 sushi pieces as well as appetizers and dessert. The regular omakase needs at least two people to order. I went with the a la Carte option which still had a great variety. I started with the dry aged bluefin tuna sampler and the ora king salmon sushi sampler. Amazing quality selections of tuna and salmon. Every sushi piece melts in your mouth. They were out of the yellowtail belly so they offered the amberjack belly, kanpachi belly, which was also great. The unagi was one of the best I've ever had. So tender and thick pieces of freshwater eel, delicious. I'm glad I got to try so many selections of sushi. They have an abundant list of sushi, appetizers, sashimi, and beers on their menu.I didn't have the sweet shell ice cream sandwich that was part of the sushi omakase but it was very aesthetically pleasing. Overall excellent service. Definitely expensive compared to most places but I think it's worth a try since it has a variety of dry aged fish and sushi belly options that is not usually offered in the valley.
I had an incredible full omakase experience with TEN courses, featuring nigiri that showcased their delicious dry-aged fish. Each piece was flavorful, offering a wonderful variety across the different courses. The matcha Basque cheesecake was heavenly, serving as a perfect finale to the meal. The service was attentive, and the food was outstanding. I only wish I had more room to sample additional wine and sake. I enjoyed a lovely glass of sauvignon blanc that complemented the dining experience beautifully. I highly recommend trying the full omakase to fully appreciate the amazing food at Brothers Sushi.
We ordered the omakase, had three beers, and with tips, our total came to over $400 for two people. Unfortunately, the tuna sushi was disappointing—it tasted as if it had been run over by a car. The sushi rice lacked flavor, and the fish didn’t seem fresh enough. While other dishes in the course were okay, they still didn’t justify the high price; the salad was quite salty. On a positive note, the service was good, and our waiter was very nice.
Brothers sushi is probably the best sushi in the entire valley. We ordered many different dishes and each and everyone of the dishes were spectacular and tasted so fresh just melted in your mouth. I highly recommend brother sushi.
