The jalapeño mayo was scarce, and there were barely any onion straws compared to what was depicted in the promotional images. It came out looking like a quarter pounder on a subpar Aldi brioche bun. The fries were carelessly thrown on the plate, heavily seasoned on one side and lacking flavor on the other. To make matters worse, when I received my bill—just over $19 during happy hour—I only had a $10 and a $20 bill. I handed them to the bartender, who acknowledged my payment but didn’t check on me until my meal was nearly finished. I requested a $10 bill back in change, but he returned with two $5s and a pile of coins. Based on the service, I was inclined to leave a tip, but the customary amount would have been $3; I felt pushed into giving a 25% tip instead, which I found unacceptable. I won't be returning. The establishment also has a problem with fruit flies around the bar, which raises concerns about cleanliness. I wouldn’t trust the drinks, especially not brands like Makers Mark, after witnessing flies getting in the bottles. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
The restaurant was extremely busy when I arrived. I had called in an order, but there was no indication that it was ready. The tomato soup I ordered was lukewarm and the portion size was small, but it was really delicious. The coffee was quite good as well. I tried the California quinoa and edamame salad, which was a healthy option, but it was rather bland. I haven’t had the chance to try the cornbread square yet. (Edit: The cornbread was excellent!)
Loved it! The atmosphere was so fun. Loved the decor and all of the history and old brick in the building. The staff was attentive and engaging. We decided to try a few things and share our food. The kale chips were amazing! The sandwiches knockedit out of the park. The bread smelled so good and was soft and fluffy. It complemented the sandwich fixes and made for a greatexperience. The pickle chips were definitely made with pickle lovers in mind! It tasted like there was dill in the batter!!! Thesmoothies were perfect on a hot summer day. Definitely a gem of Wooster!
My husband and I are excited to become regulars at this place. The food was fantastic! The bartender was very friendly. Their corned beef sandwich was the best we’ve ever tasted.
Food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. Soup was tomato basil. Great, and it was fresh. That's the soup that sets the benchmark for tomato basil. Strawberry chicken salad, refreshing, and the strawberry came through. Good enough on its own butthe vinaigrette with it sends it to the next level. Got the wired science sandwich. All the flavors come through withoutconflicting.
