Island View Cafe - Wynnum

We have enjoyed the Fish and Chips at this restaurant several times, and each time it has been a delicious and affordable meal! Located in a wonderful spot, you can spread out a picnic blanket by the bay, place your order, wait for your food, and then indulge in a lovely picnic with a beautiful view!

We came to this restaurant during an evening trip to the coast in Wynnum, near Brisbane, looking for a bite to eat. We ordered a simple meal of fish and chips with a drink, but the service from the young ladies was excellent - they were friendly and efficient. Our experience was very enjoyable and we would definitely recommend it.

Cute little cafe along the esplanade with a great view any time of the day. Service is good and the fish is fresh. The portions aren't big but they seem to be in line with the pricing.

Called in for a coffee mid morning. Big mistake. Decided to change to takeaway when a large truck pulled up outside negating the view (admittedly not the cafe's fault) and walkd down the road to the pool. Pleasant area but get a coffee elsewhere.

We've enjoyed this take away through a number of owners over the years and I have to say the current family are the best yet. Shop has been refreshed with more seating, a larger counter and larger display. Our recent lunch was beautiful and enjoyed with a lovely sea breeze and nice view. Menu is great with the usual selection and food all freshly prepared. Would have been nice for dine in customers to have their meals served on a plate rather than wrapped in paper but his is my only suggestion. Staff are friendly and there's parking and picnic tables, toilets and a play ground straight across the road. Highly recommend for visitors and locals alike.
