Island View Cafe - Wynnum

Nice fresh fish and chips. Not slimy or smelly like others. Great for takeaway and enjoy the view. Seemed popular with locals.

Note: the photo on this listing is NOT the cafe (not sure who loaded it or why). Island View Cafe is a nice, unassuming cafe on the Wynnum esplanade. It's my favourite out of the 4 cafes on the strip. It has the best views of the water and islands. Inside are nice booths by windows that receive cool bay breezes. The food is good (think simple old school 'fish and chips') and at very reasonable prices. It's not gourmet, nor does it try to be. Service is prompt and friendly. Atmosphere is quiet and relaxing.
