They must have been out of Crinkle Fries but they were covered in that same great seasoning so it didn't really matter. Accidentally gave us Greek Fries initially so we sampled those as well. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Korma for my daughter, she loved it, I knew she would, got 2 meals out it! Air conditioning wasn't working or keeping up so that was really difficult. I swear it's always the same guy working. He does his best to go above and beyond, soooo accommodating!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting George's Gourmet Grill, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable culinary experience. Nestled in the heart of downtown, this gem of a gyro shop is an absolute must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mediterranean flavors. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The vibrant energy of the place was palpable, and at the center of it all was Chef George, the beating heart of this establishment. George’s passion for his craft is evident in every dish he prepares. Watching him work is like witnessing a maestro conduct a symphony – each movement precise, each ingredient carefully chosen, and each gyro a masterpiece. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and eager to make sure every aspect of my dining experience was perfect. They took the time to explain the menu, recommend their favorite dishes, and ensure my order was just right. But the real star of the show was the gyro. It was, without a doubt, the best gyro I have ever tasted. The pita was perfectly warm and soft, encasing a generous portion of succulent, marinated meat that was grilled to perfection. The flavors exploded in my mouth with each bite – the savory, tender meat balanced beautifully with the freshness of the vegetables and the creamy, tangy tzatziki sauce. Every ingredient was top-notch, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Chef George’s energy is contagious, and it reflects in the food he creates. He doesn't just make gyros; he crafts an experience that stays with you long after the last bite. The gyro wasn’t just a meal; it was a journey through the rich, aromatic landscape of Mediterranean cuisine. If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and visit George's Gourmet Grill. The combination of outstanding service, vibrant atmosphere, and the best gyro you’ll ever have is simply unbeatable. Chef George and his team have truly set the bar high, making this not just a meal, but a memory.
Got stuck in Lincoln because my car broke down. The food and service were both bomb, a good dinner made a crappy day better.
All George's Grills are great. Favorite is my friend at Pine Lake though.
I have had food from this place at 2 in the morning and for lunch at noon and every time it is fantastic! The french fries are perfect every time which is great. My go to is the chicken gyro and it has a lot of flavor and tastes very fresh. There is a decent amount of seating indoors and outdoors. Highly recommend this place at any time of day its awesome they are open so late! Updated review 2/2024: Ordered a chicken gyro from here on doordash and it was too spicy to eat, complete waste of money and time.
