Contribuer aux commentairesThe food was very good and the waiters/waitresses really lovely. But watch out for terrible, bitter coffee and the huge 12.5 service charge automatically added to your bill. You can get this removed but it's really awkward because you are not asked for your preference, so then you have to ask to have to specifically ask to have it removed. This means calling the waiter over, explaining, handing the bill back and waiting for them to come back with a different printed version. As it was, I was happy to tip more than this which I did directly to the servers but it's a pretty sensitive, embarrassing position to put your customers in. If you can't afford it, you probably feel awkward saying so. Great way to spoil the experience when they made a really good effort with all the other aspects. I also feel this is very misleading it is a hair's breadth away from misleading advertising, because the menu looks cheaper but if you're not paying attention (or too embarrassed) you actually pay 12. more, which is a lot. They should stop this practice.
Visited for breakfast. We were sat down quickly, although next to another family in a corner when the restaurant was empty, it would’ve been nice to have had a bit more space. Food order was taken quickly. Coffees came but mine was not hot, only warm. The food came out soon after and was very tasty. I ordered sausage sandwich which was delicious and partner had eggs Benedict which was also very tasty. Prices are very high considering the offering. What I mostly object to is the ‘complementary’ service charge which is hard to turn down when you have to pay via a QR code and not in the usual way. I wouldn’t mind but we had one course and a cup of coffee served at already high prices.
The food was really good although the breakfast came with bits missing and took some time The staff and service was poor though. Rude and very uninterested and at one point my daughter son in law where ignored
We received a very warm welcome and were seated at a lovely table. The service was very relaxed, which suited us, and all three courses were really good, well-cooked and presented well. The surroundings were very pleasant and the staff helpful and efficient.
I don't often do restauranty restaurants but I was treated to dinner here with family and it was an all-round lovely experience. The venue has a lovely, stylish ambience and the staff are very friendly and professional. The food is very good; I enjoyed my chicken shawarma although it could have included another chilli or six, but maybe that's my taste! The wine was also good quality and the banoffee sundae was absolutely lush.
