Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen - York

We haven't been here for a few years, so we thought we'd try again. I had the white fish with rice, sweet carrots and corn from the cob. The vegetables and rice were fine and hot. The fish I don't think was really fresh, probably frozen and soaked and then grilled, but it was hot. It was a bit hard. My husband had chicken fingers, Pommes and Cole Slav. His fries were warm because some were cold. The chicken was okay. Cole Slav was bland, but he liked it. The waitress was fine except she didn't come back to see if we wanted to refill on our water. She got us additional napkins and lemon for my fish on request. We're probably going somewhere else when we go.

I didn't know it was a chain restaurant. I'm trying to avoid chains. Good thing was okay. The service was good. Or the simplest was very attentive and offered refills without or ask.

My first time in Cheddars and it was a good time. I have the rib with coconut shrimp, south green beans and red beans and rice. My wife has the Monte Cristo. The food was great and the portions are big. Service was also great. We drove from Maryland to come here. It was worth the ride and we'll be back.

Best part of the meal was the appetizers. I got the ribeye and half of it was fat and grisly. (See pic). Tables sat dirty after customers left.floors were not swept either. Waitress was very good. It took me 10+ years to try this a 2nd time. Won?t be a 3rd!!
