Nadines. A beautiful place, the beer garden is beautiful! We were sent here to get authentic German food. Here's the thing that food is great. The plates are full and they won't let you starve. But: It is not what I would consider it authentic German. The red cabbage tasted weird. The carving (the meat was perfect 5 stars. The hunter sauce for the hunter carving was only ok 3 stars. It tasted like industrial engraving. The beer menu was minimal. Again this place deserves a good rating, but with my German expectation (and Bias it fell a star short. I would come back for the location and the beautiful staff, but not for the authentic German food. ? (Fwiw: My children who spent most of their lives here loved eating!
I love this place. Owners and employees are so friendly. The beer garden at the back is warm and welcoming. Many beautiful plants around and fire pits. I always find great things to try on the menu. Last night I tried Pan seared Alligator over tomatoes/salad with Wasabi Avocado aioli! Yummy. It was cooked PERFECTLY! My duck was ostrich with potatoes, cranberry sauce and green beans. So delicious! I tried their hot wine too. Yeah, that's right. Hot wine? So good, try it when you go!
We happened to come across here after going to muscoot farm. What a pleasant, amazing, quaint authentic place. We ate in the Beer garden, German music playing, lovely service, lovely people, lovely ambiance in the woods. A great experience from the time you enter to when you eat. Creme Brule was on point. Thanks guys! I'll be back.
Chicken Cordon bluish and carving were big, Strudel was disappointing (soggy and clearly restored). Service was friendly but slow. Come back!
