I've been a couple of times for lunch. The sushi is average at best. The curries are better. There's not much more I can say about this place. It's clean, it's quick and it's a decent place for lunch. I've never been for dinner so can't comment about that. It's quite plain and there isn't much of a décor so I don't see myself going for dinner. However for a quick meal during your lunch break, it's good enough. At lunch they have a sushi display and a hot display of curries. For sushi you pick up a plate, take as much as you want and they will charge you per piece. For curries, just see what's on offer and they'll plate it for you. I like that they have chilly sauces on the tables. I love my food super hot!
Been here twice now. You have to reserve for dinner. Whether its full or not they will mostly send you home without a reservation! I saw people sent away although there was space. On the other hand I can understand why, because they apparently make the sushi very traditionally which takes some time to make. Good atmosphere. Preis is very fair compared to overpriced swiss standards. Sushi is great! They even offer green and yellow curry beef stews for those who aren't big sushi fans (like me). Which I now am. I would visit again.
Having read the previous review about being turned away from the restaurant we were cautious but figured we 'd give it a shot. We had eaten here once before about a year ago and found it ok. I too checked the website prior to going and it said if you 're a group of 8 or more you need to reserve. We were stopped at the entrance, told off for not reserving and said we could come in because there was a group of people who had reserved and there would be enough sushi. Obviously, we didnt feel very welcome. I tried to talk to the guy about why it said nothing on his webpage and he just said this was as of today etc etc He didnt see my point and my hubby was suggesting I just sit down and be happy that we were allowed in, so I let it be. Anyways, the food was ok, same as last time. I did notice the sushi didnt get filled up again and no other people showed up after us. (I was wondering if they 'd get the same treatment) The owner never came by to ask us anything, I didnt see him or anyone else asking anyone if they needed something. I think the sushi was esthetically well done, possibly a bit too much avocado (looks nice, but 2/3 of the different types of sushi seemed to consist of it). I figure they make a good business at lunch and the dinner is pretty much a loss for them. So I understand why they want a reservation because they 're trying to survive, but you 'd need to write this on your website or on the little cards on each table which says you need to reserve if you 're more than 8 people. Or on the sign outside, or anywhere. And then perhaps you should care about the paying customers and not surf on your tablet the whole time they 're there. Who knows, they might have been back one day! In the future I 'd go to yoshis, they 're always happy to see me.
