This was by far the best place in Louisiana I've ever eaten.. if I drive from Maryland to Texas, I'm always looking for something where to get great food! Let me tell you, I'll see, no more this will be my place! Our waitress was so friendly and accommodating and knowledgeable about the food and the area. So we started our meal with Alligator bites.. People let me tell you they were crazy amazing!! My meal consisted of 5lbs cancer, which I shared with my husband, and they were cooked for perfection! We chose the crazy of the season that had the perfect amount of warmth. Also the maize and sausage were from this world!! My mother had the grilled alligator sandwich it was so tender and juicy! We all share also one side of red beans and rice and it sets to shame every other place. My 3 children each had some other fried shrimp basket, chicken basket and boiled crust basket. Each of them was very satisfied! I can't say enough kind words for this place I can wait for next week on our trip home, we even changed our plans so we'll be back!
