I was actually heading to another restaurant for dinner when I noticed the patio diners having a steak dinner. I stopped dead in my tracks and the owner, Claude... I stopped dead in my tracks and the owner, Claudette, a fellow Canadian, asked if I wanted something to eat. I said: I want steak!!! I sat at the counter at the open window and watched PV go by, a friendly cat on the chair nearby and a delightful dog waiting for me to drop a piece of steak which I did for him. It had to be over 16 ounces and was perfectly (med rare) cooked. It came with a very large baked potato with butter and sour cream and a dressed mixed salad. In my day, I could have put it all away, but I ended up taking half of it home with me. Service was friendly and prompt. I was advised that steaks are the Saturday special, and they run out frequently. You can reserve online or arrive early. Definitely a Saturday destination. Brining friends next time.

The bar caters mostly to Canadian/American tourists, but the prices are too steep for the location and the food was quite bland. Service was Overly attentive by staff/owner. All in all it was OK, I would give it 2.5 stars if I could but that’s not an option.

The place is quite large and is open to the fresh air. All Covid Protocols were being followed when we visited. My wife ordered a fish filet done on the grill and I ordered the shrimp and filet combo. To share we started with their delicious Guacamole and a jar of lightly sweetened lemonade, which was thirst quenchingly delicious. Service was very good...although we must say that it is best to be clear about ordering and be ready to hail for more service. We recommend Mauricio´s for a casual Saturday or Sunday lunch treat...you will not be disappointed.

When we were turned down at the gate because we did not have reservations, we made our way back to PV hungry. I remembered seeing...a hand painted sign with an arrow that appeared to go nowhere saying restaurant . We wanted to get out of the sun and enjoy the ocean, so we turned down the dirt road and drove through a tunnel, under the main road to a quaint little parking area and restaurant right on the beach. We were so pleased with this restaurant. The staff spoke limited english, but this did not appear to be a place that catered to American tourists. The staff brought some chips and pico de gallo, both tasty. I ordered beef fajitas, which were served with french fries, rice, tortillas, and a large salad. My husband had fish in papillote, and it was a large portion as well. We were surprised to leave the place full for only $20! The beach was lovely, the place quiet and even though business was steady, it was not busy or distracting. If we had more time, I would 've loved to enjoy the beach a little more. If you are passing though, definitely stop! The staff are also very attentive and welcoming!
