And a very handsome wine list with bottles around $40-$60. Delicious food. Vegetarian Pakora was outstanding. Also good were the Assamese duck curry and the marsala dosa, the latter so hard to find in Australia. The service was very attentive and friendly.

J'étais végétarien (maintenant pescatarien), ce qui peut être difficile en France, mais elle s'est arrangée pour me préparer quelque chose de spécial, en plus du vin qui donnait sur le château, magnifique. Après être retournés en France pendant 10 ans en groupe de 15 (8 enfants), nous pensions nous revoir. Nous n'avons pas été surpris de voir qu'il avait changé, moins rustique et plus funky et moderne, tant au niveau de la décoration que de la cuisine, mais heureusement ce n'était pas gâché. Ils étaient heureux de nous installer tous les 15 dans le jardin du château. Ils étaient également heureux de s'occuper des enfants une fois qu'ils avaient fini de manger, de les surveiller et de les garder en sécurité. Il y avait un bon groupe de reprises des Beatles, Bowie, Led Zeppelin, etc., etc., et ils ont même permis à un membre de notre groupe de devenir leur chanteur de soutien. La nourriture était bonne, mais le vin et les cocktails étaient excellents. Donc à la fin de la soirée, il y a eu beaucoup de danse. Les photos ne rendent pas justice à l'atmosphère du lieu. La nourriture était bonne, bien que tout le monde n'ait pas apprécié la glace au fromage de chèvre. Seul reproche, la bière n'était pas assez froide, mais nous avons passé une excellente soirée, tout comme les enfants. Si vous vous trouvez dans le coin, ça vaut la peine d'y faire un tour.

L'hôte est très bon enfant et garantit une soirée amusante avec... les sons des hits de la Motown américaine diffusés depuis la cuisine. Les médaillons de porc étaient excellents, tout comme les plats mettant en valeur les asperges de saison. La carte des vins regorge de vins locaux à un prix très raisonnable également.

The good news is that all efforts to get there were rewarded with a great meal. I had the refugee gambas for my starter, while my wife chose the baked Camembert, both excellent. For my main, the lamb was in a delightful honey-thymian sauce, the cod of my wife was just as delicious. A definite must taste restaurant!

I have been to many Bento restaurants around Tasmania, and this one is my favourite so far. I ordered a teriyaki chicken donburi, which was slightly more expens... I ordered a teriyaki chicken donburi, which was slightly more expensive than I have seen at other Bentos but seemed to be a larger portion and came with a salad on the side. Overall very enjoyable experience, I recommend highly.
