O que me surpreendeu foi na conta vir um valor de sugestão de gratificação nunca tinha visto isso numa conta.

Booked a table in advance and we dressed for the occasion as you do for a special evening out and to be respectful to the restaurant. The lady who greeted us on arrival was lovely and we advised we had eaten there once before when we were in Lisbon. On our previous visit we were shown to a seating area beside the bar where we could peruse the menu with a drink which was a nice start to the evening before being shown downstairs to the dining area with its large imposing unusual light fittings and ambient lighting to a small table for 2 which added to the romance of the evening. However this was not the case this time, no pre dinner drinks to view the menu, shown straight to our table which seemed to be in the centre of the room, amongst others in a communal dining type of arrangement not romantic, no ambient lighting and would feel literally as though we were dining with strangers very impersonal. Couldn’t help that notice other diners dressed not for dinner, were in trainers, t shirts and whatever casual wear took their fancy. Whereas when we visited before I am sure there was a dress code due to the restaurant having a good reputation. My husband asked that we move to a private table and the restaurant obliged showing us to a more ambient corner with more room to hold private conversation. The menu choices I felt were limiting however we ordered the prawns to begin which were amazing! The mushrooms which were nothing special. My husband the steak and I opted for the fish special stew (having eaten this previously! . The broth was so tasty although some bread to mop this up would have been a welcome addition. Really enjoyed our evening and would recommend, would also be nice to see people a little smarter dressed for this establishment

I would 100% go back to this restaurant if I ever go back to Lisbon. Everything about the dishes were perfect, from the taste to the presentation and freshness... Lire plus The best restaurant. we drove for the day after sintra and found this restaurant online and are so glad that we did it. it is the best hidden gem. it is about 10-15 minutes from sintra, in the small village colares. in contrast to sintra there are no tourist sites and it is really only local. we both have steak and pommes and it was the best steak ever. After we finished, the owner came by and talked to us about the opposite and the restaurant. she is beautiful and very proud of the restaurant. we asked her to get us a dessert and she brought us a cookie and it was so good. when we had lunch, a delivery with fresh products came, so they know that eating is fresh. the restaurant was authentic Portuguese eating and worth the trip. if they go to sintra, I recommend to them to come here on the way! if I were a native, I would eat every meal here. the best food and the best people. they really felt like they took me to their home. note, it is only cash, so make sure that cash!

The food was great, we had some breaded shrimp and garlic naan as starters and then we...had the chicken korma as a main couse. After that we were sugested some chick pea deserts. Everything was great and spot on, it was a nice experience. Just a heads up, you might have troubles parking in the area, so grab the first free spot because you won't get one soon :
