Lire plus Ok guys and gals, we are back with another edition of SGW 's Local Eats Take Outs! Today 's show comes from a request from one of our Instagram followers. Now speaking with th ir employee I found out that they give a very basic hoagie. It comes with meat, cheese, lettuce, possibly onions (unable to see any), and possible dressing. I asked for mayo instead. It comes on a 6-inch bun. Now before I go any further, I want to say you get what you pay for, my hoagie and drink came to under 5 bucks. As you can see in the video it 's not a thick hoagie. This sandwich, honestly you really can 't call this a hoagie. Now overall it was not bad for what it was. Now here is what I have to critique about, I understood the hoagie did not include tomatoes. I asked the gentlemen can I add some tomatoes? I did not mind paying extra. The employee responded No, we don 't have tomatoes . I am thinking to myself, OK. He hands me my drink and hoagie and I say to him and explain i am not going home may I have some napkins because they do not offer anywhere to sit and eat, I didn 't care I would just eat it in the car. He again looked at me and says no we don 't have any. Now I worked in food as an employee and as a manager, how can you serve any type of food and not have napkins to give your customers and being a hoagie place not offer tomatoes to be added to your hoagie. That 's what makes a hoagie, tomato. Well ok, fine. Now is it worth the price? absolutely! If I am passing, would I stop for a quick bite? Probably, however I don 't know if I would make a special trip back? Probably not. Now this was my experience, yours could be different? I 'm giving them an average 3 out of 5 for price. We booked the Lab Food Truck for our baby shower and I have to say our experience was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We reached out very last minute and G responded with... Lire plus We booked the Lab Food Truck for our baby shower and I have to say our experience was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We reached out very last minute and G responded with a yes we can do it without hesitation. Within the next week and half we worked out the details and they were very flexible with our schedule. They arrived 30 mins early to set up and right on time our guest began to order. We had roughly 45 guests at the baby shower and I kid you not I heard compliments about the food from at least 25 of them within the first 15 mins. The portions were huge and the food was amazing! I personally had the Short Rib tacos and The Dr. as my meal and I have to say for a southern boy that has had plenty of BBQ, that possibly could have been the best bbq sandwich I have ever had. My wife had the Bahn Mi and she was very impressed, even when she warmed up the rest later on that night. They also had a vegan option on the menu so they cater to all. I could go on about the food, only good reviews from all guests but I have to say the service and hospitality was even better. If you are having ANY event this food truck is the way to go! I will also add we had 3 trucks in mind for the event and they were the least expensive and had the bigger menu. I promise you won 't regret it.
