Without even making eye contact, the owner rushes and says firmly, pointing at our kid: this one, she does not seat here until she is done. You can come back later. We were baffled, then decided to go to the city hall (nearby) to complain. A local councilman immediately raised his eyebrow when we mentioned the place 's name we chatted a good 30 minutes during which he told us of the owner 's antics. The guy is seriously off.

We selected this one because there was a table available on a nice square. We had the worse by far tinto de verano we ever have had. It had no taste. When we told the waiter, he explained why (new barrel but offered no compensation, not even an excuse. We had ordered pan y tomate to go with it. There again, it had no taste. We regularly go to Spain for holidays and can compare. The welcome is not the friendly kind we have grown accustomed to get in most places. As the restaurant offer is rather limited in Sagunt, our lesson learnt is that, whenever we ever go to this city again (the show was great ! we will book the restaurant well ahead after checking out on Trip Advisor of course !
