The first time I ordered the creamy mushrooms with haloumi, on brioche toast and was not disappointed. It was amazing! Husband enjoyed his works breakfast and our coffee was indeed delicious. The second time I ordered the corn fritters, because I figured I couldn 't go wrong after the creamy mushrooms. I was wrong. The fritters, although large and tasty looking, were bland and very crumbly. I wasn 't impressed at all. The coffee that day was a bit burnt as well, I think perhaps there was a new staff member on the coffee machine due to talk we heard with her and management. The last time we went to Gana, I went back to my creamy mushrooms and found they weren 't as delicious as the first time. The chef was a little heavy on the seasonings and they were quite strong in flavour. All in all, it 's a nice little cafe with very quick service and friendly enough staff. Consistency seems to be a bit of an issue here. It 'd be great if the kinks could be ironed out to make this a real destination as Papamoa is lacking in the cafe stakes.
