I go back to the days when the company was actually in Hossack Ave and not in its new premises in Gaffney Street. You'd think someone connected to the company would change the address here to the new location. I wanted to take some relatives from Perth for a meal there as they are seafood lovers and I went to the new location to discuss a suitable time and date. I went to the counter at 11.30 a.m., and there was a woman behind it that broke some papers. I stood there at least a minute and she continued to cut the paper into small squares and completely ignored me. Finally, she looked up with an acidic look at her face and I told her that I was interested in a table for 4 people for either lunch or dinner and her blunt answer was that we don't do bookings, you just have to turn on. Seriously, how arrogant can you be about the only other restaurants that take this attitude to their customers are McDonalds, Hungry Jacks and KFC. I don't care how good their meals are, I won't just turn up and hope I can get a table. I'm currently looking for somewhere else to buy my annual Christmas plate. I know about the attitude that will show that they could not take care less, but Nick, if you or your son read this, then you could have a thought about the future direction that your company is heading in. There are literally hundreds of first-class restaurants in Melbourne and no matter how good it is for you right now, it could not always be the case and I remember a time, not as long as you appreciated your customers.
