Interesting story to read about some guy who ate at this joint for umpteen years when it was in Connecticut and then ths joint shut down. This guy finally found the place reopened of all places Arlington, Texas! Texas for pizza! You got to be kidding me. Well, I did it. Drove 33 miles to check out the joint for lunch. The place was quaint and a few lunch crowd. Ordered the veggie roasted spinach, onion and a little cheese. Michele the owner was making pizza and baked the pie herself. Waited for about 15 minutes and the pie came out... Looked right NY style thin, charred at the right place. Dug in and hmmm... tasty sauce san marzano tomato lightly sweet, tangy... good stuff. Roasted spinach and onion were nicely balanced. Crust average too crispy, should be a bit more chewy. Maybe, Michele left it in the brick oven a bit too long. All and all, not a bad place but over rated by the business magazine guy.

We ordered the windshield breeze, sausage and ribs. Overall fit but very salty. The ribs were not falling from the bone and we had so much of only ribs left between 5 people. The Mac and the cheese and the potato salad were good, but the BBQ sauce was quite watery. There are plenty of seats for large parties and even a large room to reserve. Overall not high on my list of places to return to the shipyards area.

Costco will quickly become this place because you hate yourself because you can't stop going there. It is always very crowded, difficult to park, surly customer... We have been a member since 1997 and our membership expires in June. I hope I have the courage not to renew.
