Apart from mussels the place also serves meat and salads. Very lively until late hours. Totally worth.

As a celiac vegetarian (yes, unfortunately) there is absolutely nothing on the lunch menu that I can eat, whilst most other restaurants, pubs and cafes have a good selection. Even a salad would do.

We decided to go a la carte and chose starters from the menu with our main courses picked from that days specials board,...the latter nice, but not great. For dessert we went back to the menu and shared a plate of assorted desserts, which were delicious. I can see where they are coming from with their flavour and colour combinations but the ones with the main course were maybe a little too complicated, sometimes less is more. The wines were excellent and not overpriced and were available mostly either by the glass or bottle, they also had a good choice of local beers. Overall we had a very enjoyable lunchtime and we will return as the food was good, the cost not unreasonable with friendly and attentive staff in a restaurant with great atmosphere and ambience.

It was our first time and a whole new experience to be seated at the “Chef’s table”, which is the bar with the uninterrupted view of the open plan kitchen. There you can watch the team chopping, frying, steaming, roasting and bubbling away fresh ingredients whilst enjoying your marvelous meal.
