All the staff we have encountered are charming and very happy to explain anything you don’t understand about the menu or Japanese cuisine in general! We don’t eat meat and have found plenty of veggie/fish options. Everything we have ordered has been wonderful! I particularly like the potsticker dumplings which are the best I’ve ever had. Can’t go wrong with the sushi either. We had around 6 dishes, a bottle of wine, two desserts and a pot of tea and the bill came to £68 which feels like good value given the skill and high quality ingredients involved. Highly recommended. We’ll definitely be returning!

I wouldn’t pick it for a special occasion probably but for a pleasant lunch you could definitely do worse. The caprese salad was generous and the pizzas looked nice. The bill was reasonable.

We were settled into a cosy corner and advised about the menu. There were quite a few things unavailable but I think it might have been a Sunday. Anyway, we chose charcuterie, foie gras (which came with plentiful bread) and a bottle of local fizz which was exactly what we needed to spend a couple of hours drying off and catching up on gossip. There is a really nice, warm feeling about this place so it is perfect for a cold or miserable evening! I forget the price but it certainly didn't seem unreasonable. The quality of the food was good and the portions so generous that we didn't finish everything. Highly recommended.
