So to start off, I 'd like to say that the beautiful view in front of this restaurant is so breathtaking. I could appreciate looking at the wonderful scenery wh... And the food......WAS GOOD. No complaints there. However, there were a few things that threw me completely off while dining here. Its my first time eating at Chit Chat Diner. My mother and I received our food. I asked the waiter for a plastic fork to eat. Reason is, many restaurants do not clean their untensils very well. So I proceeded to ask for plastic utensils. He tells me that he isn 't allowed to give me one. I say sure, no problem, I 'll just get my own. I proceed outside to my car, retrieve the plastic fork knife, and head back in. After sitting down, the Maitre d ' walks by our table. I humbly ask him why this diner does not give out plastic untensils....he tells me that its just the rules. Which I understood at that point. BUT THEN.....he proceeds to tell me that HE SAW me walk out and GRAB MY OWN forks. He then says that he will NOT allow me to do that next time. In my mind, I am completely furious. I cant bring my own plastic fork, that is already safely wrapped in plastic? And wont harm anyone? Are you kidding me sir? Did the word spread in the restaurant that I 'm getting my own fork? The rest of my time at this diner was extremely uncomfortable at this point. I 'm not sure if my waiter went back and told him that I was heading out to get my own fork....not sure. But I was very uncomfortable. My food wasn 't digesting well, because I was annoyed. The worst experience at a food place, is when you are tied up with negative emotion while trying to eat. I for one will never eat at this place ever again. Very unfortunate.

Excellent service and pastries! I loved the chocolate chip cookies; they were thin, crunchy, and not super fill. Perfect for a light dessert. Very nice ambience...
