"The Tare Shops second location on Portland Street is a spacious room filled with many bulk materials without plastic. Bring your own glasses and get everything from falafel mix, nutrition yeast, spices, laundry soap and much more. The staff is super helpful and friendly and they also have a cool selection of environmentally friendly products. Reusable straws, solutions for storage without plastic, eco-friendly make-up and more. Definitely worth a visit!"

"A tiny place with seating form maybe 10 which serves individual pies like hamburgers. The savoury pies were delicious! We had the steak and cheese and the chicken, cranberry and brie. The only complaint was the filling was so hot we had to be patient in eating it which was difficult because it was so good. A must spot to go for food!"

"I am not convinced that the brother position my forté will be during the hardships, i.e. Kovid times, as the lf bakery is, but a short walk over the halifax commons of me. they have a great choice to choose, but I tend to be a creature of habit and go to the wowishing, if their amazing olive oil is sourdy brot to make sure when I arrive later and is not available, I am happy to take one of their other sourdough weavers. ask not for a single bakery and essentially an exclusive bakery with a limited selection of sandwiches and coffees."

"Very kind staff and the cooks were knowledgeable about what ingredients contain gluten (donair meat was the only meat that DID have gluten) and what doesn't. Had a pizza (with sausage) and extra cheesy garlic fingers. The pizza crust seemed to be made not in house but if anything that helped to build confidence that there was no cross contamination. Overall good pizza and no reaction. It is also seems like a welcoming and fun pub and I am excited to go in person and check it out!"

"Absolutely LOVED my visit to Real Fake Meets! we came during Burger Week, and had the most incredible burger with a fried Mac cheese patty, seitan patty, cheese a jalapeño popper on top, all miraculously vegan! I also tried their dill havarti cheese which was delightful, and their ham cheese wrap which was giant super filling! had to go back later to try out their Cesar salad, and I was not disappointed! came with a wonderful dressing, bacon bits, croutons a nooch topping! really couldn’t recommend enough!"

"I wanted to look at the sprout therapy as it opened and I finally got the chance after winning a 3 juice on Instagram. The store is located on Almon Street, right next to the Almonak, is clean and very striking from the outside. I love her sweet little apple mascot sitting outside on the brick. They have a good size space for a juice and it is light and welcoming inside. They have two large coolers with a range of delicious juices to choose from. They also sell energy balls, including a vegan variety. The girl worked very friendly and helpful with suggestions. I chose Froyde, Holiday Fast and Apple Cider. They also make fresh smoothies and offer plant-based milk as an option. I really enjoyed how fresh and pure the juices were. The aromas were rich and refreshing. Froyde and the Apple Cider were my favorite. If you are looking for a healthy cold-pressed juice, this is a great place to go!"
