The curries and rotis were all fresh and tasty. Nothing special but it was good. Galle is an expensive place for food so it is rather a cheap place if you don't have a great appetite.
We decided to stop here for a quick lunch and some beers in the middle of the day. The local curries and rotis were a perfect complement to our midday drinks. Although we couldn't get the air conditioning to work inside, the meal as a whole made up for it.
Came here craving for a fresh sweet roti, unfortunately I was gravely disappointed. The banana and chocolate roti was not a roti at all (more like a crepe), the serving was tiny and the taste was less than ideal. Would not recommend this place if visiting galle, there are many more delish places to visit with a more authentic taste of Sri Lankan roti!
Popped into here for a curry and roti. Interior was nice and also cool. Staff was very helpful and service was quick. We ordered 3 different types of roti with curry and the food was excellent fresh and spicy and just what we wanted.
The food quality was okay, but the portion size was laughable. When I inquired if the meal was meant for two people, the waiter responded, "We serve small portions, but yes, it is meant for two." I found it embarrassing that they would say something like that to a customer. When we requested to speak to the restaurant manager, he seemed unsure of how to handle our complaint and couldn't find a resolution. I am baffled by how this restaurant has a five-star rating. In conclusion, don't waste your money and avoid this place!
