We chose to sit out the back which is elevated and consists of booths.. with big rope feature falling from the ceiling and circling the booth... it had almost a jungle vibe. Easy ordering from the table through the app. Speedy service which was helped by it being a Monday night and not so busy. Ordered the steak.. was listed as porterhouse however we were served rump... not as pleasant to eat and would not have ordered steak if rump was the option. Reasonable prices. Great staff interaction. Girls enjoyed the cocktails.
Nice old pub to hunker down in winter, meet some mates, play a board game. I spent a lot of time during university studying at this pub on weekdays as it is laid back and reasonably quiet, and the staff were always welcoming, I had access to wifi, and food and snacks are available upon request.
A serious gem of a pub. Always have had great service and food. It’s a massive venue which could be really good for a booked event. Also has a very accommodating smoking area, far from diners but it doesn’t feel like you’re in a discarded part of the venue like most pubs with smokers areas, nowadays. 10/10. Sports always on the TVs. Drinks come fast. And great pub meals.
Fantastic atmosphere. Food delicious and Charmaine a delight! Forget about everything…the way she looked after two ladies whose table was misallocated was an example of the service here. First time here and coming back for sure!! Venue great!
Great pub, exceptional staff, but poor operations. My friends and I wanted to come for DJ bingo and cheap drinks the other week, as advertised but when we get there, the cheap drinks aren’t available. The bar upstairs is not opened, and the advertised happy hour prices don’t reflect the happy hour prices on posters and chalkboard in the venue. A BIG disappointment! I asked one of the staff (incredibly person I might add and they relayed information from their manager saying they didn’t have enough people on to open the bar upstairs (which I get , but that’s an issue in itself. Roster someone on to open the bar, not hard. If you’re going to advertise an event with an enticing promotion (cheap priced drinks in this case and not provide the promotion, that’s misleading, and a breach under the Australian Consumer Law (but I’m not going to go into that! . It’s also misleads the public about what you’re providing! Additionally the happy hour prices aren’t even correct on the website, that in itself is misleading conduct, which again is a breach. They would have to honour the advertised prices, and commitment to provide said prices drinks. I am definitely not blaming the staff or managers here, they are again INCREDIBLE people, always welcoming, friendly and would always look after you; but someone here needs to be held responsible! Please fix up your website and check your menus. Do an audit if you have to! Check what you’re advertising is EXACTLY what you’re offering/selling; if not it’s is false advertisement, and a false representation about your products! Please remedy these issues and offer venue credit for affected guests! It’s a great venue, just do better!
