They're pretty famous for their Bao, so one lunch time, we thought we'd head on down to see what else they had to offer. The menu is quite large now, including rice bowls, salads, snacks and other specials which appear to rotate with the seasons.
My favourite lunch place in the CBD! Reasonably priced and delicious. Especially love their Asian tacos lotus root chips <br/ <br/ But don't go there, because I want all the food for myself thanks
Nice place with some interesting food. Tried the Pork and KFC Baos. The pork was on the dry side and the KFC baos need more sauce. Overall, not too bad and worth a try.<br/ <br/ Food 7/10<br/ Value 7/10<br/ Service 8/10<br/ Decor 7/10
Quick and great service... Always with a friendly smile.<br/ <br/ The food Ive tried is delicious, fresh and well presented. <br/ <br/ The food is always consistently good... I love all the baos soya beans and the taro chips taste fantastic and CRIPSY. Can be very addictive! <br/ <br/ Their fresh iced tea is so refreshing and my friends love the well priced Vietnamese filtered iced coffee<br/ <br/ Definitely a place I recommend you try if you are around the area or if you ever see them at Fork on the Road! You won't be disappointed
I first discovered Mamachau’s baos at Fork On The Road and I’ve been in love ever since. There was always a long line up at their food stand so I was delighted when they opened up a permanent store in the CBD. Now I was able to get my bao fix anytime I wanted. Mamachau were the first to bring baos to Adelaide. I’ve been to a few places that make baos and never really liked them. Other places were always dense and stodgy. Mamachau make the best baos in Adelaide. They are the lightest, fluffiest, pillowy soft baos with various flavour combinations.
