We decided to have tapas and drinks. The owner greeted us right away and showed us to a table outside. The charcuterie board was big, with different types of meats and cheeses that we really enjoyed. And the bruschetta was fresh and tasty. This is a simple restaurant, nothing fancy and I did notice there were quite a few diners, including locals. By dinner time, the place was almost full. Great place for drinks and tapas.
We have often had a drink in this little bar just around the corner off the main square in Tavira. This time we ate there twice, and both times the offerings were delicious. The owner is genuine and doesn't put on a fake smile for the visitor but once you settle down and enjoy his- very reasonable- food and drink you will be treated extremely courteously and can be assured of a real Algarvian treat. The clams and anchovies were wonderful and plentiful and the wine was delicious. Do yourselves a favour and stop here to savour what's on offer.
Bom atendimento...Excelente Tasca. O Sr. Zé sempre atencioso.....Boas Gambas da Costa. Recomendo a visitar a Tasca do Zé André.
We were close and found ourselves here during our stay. it is quiet this time of the year, but there was a steady stream of natives passing. we have constantly compared drinks from other places to this bar. it was so cheap in comparison and good. we wanted to try the tapas, but to save our meals for the full service retrievals in the city.
We were staying nearby and found ourselves here throughout our stay. It’s quiet this time of year, but there was a steady stream of locals stopping by. We kept comparing drinks from other places to this bar. It was so inexpensive by comparison and good. We meant to try the tapas, but wanted to save our meals for the full service resturants in town.
