Each restaurant is rated on four things. 1. Atmosphere/decor 2. Food 3. Service 4. Relationship of all the above with prices. The Espero scores excellently in everything. The best restaurant I ate in Nafplion by far. Price per person: €30–35 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The city has few restaurants during the off-season. We were looking for a restaurant that had soup and we found that they had soup on that cold day. It was good and we asked for other orders. The service is excellent, and I especially thank the employee, Angelia, for her kindness. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The starters were great! We had traditional onion pie, bruschetta with chicken and caramelized Pancetta.. delicious! As a main dish we shared the seafood platter.. this was not that great, the shrimps were mushy, the fish didn't taste fresh and it was served quite cold.. clean toilets, the ambiance is beautiful and the waitress was very friendly! And the price? A little more expensive than similar restaurants but not too much..
Espero is a new restaurant in a recently renovated neoclassical building. The design and atmosphere is great and everything we tried was delicious. Staff was very friendly and willing to help but they need some time to get fully organized. So you might have to wait some time until you get served. In the past there was another famous restaurant, called Allaloum, in this place. Like with any other restaurant in the old town of Nafplio, you need to either make a reservation or have to wait until you find a table, especially during the high season
