We ordered the 6 oz filet with shrimp from the Prix classics menu, along with creamed spinach, a house salad, and creme brulee. The salad was average, but everything else was excellent. The ribeye and New York Strip were perfectly cooked, the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious, and the lobster bisque was good. As a special treat, a complimentary cheesecake was presented to my daughter on a beautifully decorated plate.
Eric and Teddy were both fantastic. Eric is a master at crafting the ideal drink and ensures that you are well looked after. Teddy is incredibly pleasant and attentive, making sure that I had a wonderful dining experience. The food was excellent and they engaged in great conversation with us. I highly recommend visiting the bar to everyone.
The service at this restaurant was fantastic, with very friendly and polite staff. The food was pretty good, although it was my first visit and I would try something different next time. The lobster Mac and cheese could have used more cheese and was a little runny, but the lobster itself was cooked well. The sweet potato casserole was pretty good, although there was too much of a crunchy topping for my taste. My companion had mashed potatoes, crab cakes, and asparagus, which were all excellent. Overall, the service was great, the staff amazing, and the view and presentation were very nice across the board.
The food here was really good! I got steak and lobster with asparagus. The steak was cooked perfectly (med.well) but definitely lacked any real flavor. I didn't dare ask for A1 but I definitely would have liked some. My asparagus was undercooked as well. It was a great experience that I don't regret however It was just average tasting food for a lot of money.
First and foremost I love Ruth Chris. It's my favorite steak house. And as I have done on thanksgivings before I came to Ruth Chris Crystal City. Service was good. View was excellent. I could tell the quality of meat was good but someone needs to teach the cook how to cook medium rare. A forth of my 11 oz filet had no pink or red whatsoever. It also had fat which I had to cut off. One of the primary reasons I order filets for it's leanness. The rest of my filet was medium with like a small portion being close to medium rare. Clearly the grill is not evenly heated or the cook does not know what he is doing. Either way there are other Ruth Chris's in the DC/Baltimore area that I would recommend trying before crystal city. Not worth paying $60 for an overcooked filet.
