I also tried the cured chicken salad and sweet potato puffs. My order was ready in about ten minutes and served to me by a friendly employee. The BLTA had a good balance of ingredients on a flavorful ciabatta bread. I felt that it could have used a little less mayonnaise, but overall it was tasty. The cured chicken salad had plenty of chicken with a hint of curry and sweetness from the raisins. The pig and broccolini sandwich was generously filled with meat and had a nice flavor. The cheese was just right, but I wouldn't have minded a bit more mustard for extra kick. The sweet potato puffs had a soft texture and great taste, though they could have been warmer. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to this restaurant, located near Chain Bridge road. As long as parking is available, I would definitely return for another delicious sandwich.
I love this place. The sandwiches are so tasteful and delicious. The KBBQ sandwich is my goal. Do not hesitate to stop when you are in the area! they are happy
The sandwich shop excels in every aspect. The food, service, speed, and cleanliness were all impeccable. Their steak and cheese sandwich was unique, yet simple, and incredibly delicious. You can tell that their well-equipped kitchen allows them to work efficiently. I was very impressed and will definitely be returning to Cubano.
Let me say this was my first time here and these sandwiches were great. I ordered the club (2) Cheese steak and Reuben. The cheese steak has been seasoned. The reuben was delicious. I don't give 5 stars, but this place is worth the 30-minute drive. Great sandwiches. The picture is my last bite of my steak and cheese sandwich.
Delicious sandwiches. We ordered a mushroom melt and a customized version of the KBBQ to make it a steak cheese. (I’ll probably ask for extra cheese next time, but I digress. Staff seemed friendly and very accommodating to my more-complex-than-I’d-like customization. So I’d say service rocks! They seemed busy making sandwiches as people kept coming in for lunch on a Thursday. Even so, the wait was not long: about 10 minutes — maybe less. Not only were the sandwiches tasty, but they were overflowing with thier ingredients. Such a plethora of mushrooms in the mushroom melt that some were falling out. The kbbq-steak-and-cheese was filled to the brim with marinated sirloin and sautéed mushrooms onions. I can say confidently that not only does The Sandwich Shop have their ingredient quality on lock, but they aren’t afraid to use their ingredients to build you a masterful hand-held creation.
