Zax Restaurant & Bar - Austin

We were looking for a restaurant that was close to the theater and had good food and it worked out well

Excessively long wait to order and when we gently said we would like to order, he was defensive. And, I will not order the burger again. I still enjoy this restaurant and will go again. The experience this week was not their finest hour.

Good food. We went here after watching the bats come out by the Congress Bridge. It was easy to get to and a lovely atmorsphere.

Absolutely. Unlike many of our favorite restaurants, Zax has become better and better with time. Everyone should come and keep the place full so there's no incentive to close this one remaining decent restaurant in the Auditorium area!

We held a 24th birthday party for our daughter with 12 adults and four children under five. Servers were great with getting beverages and kids food out. Our food was tasty. I had chicken sandwich. Beverages were refilled they did a nice job with her cake as well.
