Capers Restaurant - Belleville

Worse resteraunt ever visited no gluten-free options ordered tee came luke warm. terrible teekanne to pour would not come back and will not participate again. very disappointed. to another resterated we gave 5 stars for our service and eating

They do not take any reservations at this time, so they must be winged to come first to sit. we were sitting there for 15 minutes while watching the staff at the bar, talking to each other and checking on the phones. I always give them the chance to notice us on a table. nope had to go into the bar and ask if someone served tonight we ordered the salmon special and a fantastic appetizer. the appetizer was a crumb and it was great. the salmon arrived and it was completely raw in the middle we sent them back and they cook us 2 more. it was great. we're going back and I'm gonna keep them on the move. cheers

It was said that there is one of the better places to eat in belleville, so I did try. the first problem was that the sliding doors were wide open in a cool night, went back to the car for a hoodie. eating, ordering the cable. the cod was perfect. cous cousin was soft and almost muddy. I guess they keep it all night in a steam table. Last is the red pfeffer chef. this sauce had the pronounced taste like acid. terrible bitter taste I've ever chosen the chef before I served him the customer. Even the waiter didn't care when I told him my opinion. they were there trying not to come back.

We were a group of 4 people on a Saturday evening without reservation. everything was firmly booked everywhere, internal capacity is not 100% because of kovid, and we had tried a restaurant called the lark. her waiter led us to capers that the food was good. he was right! we were lucky to find a table. the place is very sweet. they have tables, high stools, banquets and outside seats. two of my friends had burgers, the other one had garnel and I had the ribs. was it the best I ever eat? No, but everything was good. the waitress was very professional and accommodating and we had a very good bottle chianti at about $45. I'd come back anytime if I find myself in belleville!

Usually full five is rare, just always room to improve. Make a reservation this is a busy spot. We waited a uncomfortable lobgvtome at door to be greated and sat. If I was not meeting my daughter and friend I would have likely left it...was that long. Once seated the device was great. Chris was friendly and informative. Seemed like he sincerely liked doing what he does. We started out with a sharing of dishes. Charcuterie, crawdads, fried Brussels. All was excellent with great presentation. Lots on the charcuterie and great portion on the crawfish. Chris checked in on us several times and kept the cocktails filled. After so much app we shared a burger and a 10oz strip. Burger was great, the steak was just ok. Very thin in center and thick ends. Not a consistent thickness witch resulted in uneven cook of a little over done. All and all was fun, nice spot, clean and cant wait to return. Thanks to all in kitchen also. Was nice to see no plastic used on floor, like straws in cocktails. All in with tax and grat $250. Not to bad.
