Southern Stone - Bloomington

I attempted to call five times to change my reservation from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, but the phone at Southern Stone kept indicating that it was not in service. On a positive note, I did appreciate the leather menu covers!

The ambiance, food, and service were excellent. I would definitely come back to eat here again.

The drink menu was blank, and when I inquired about it, our waitress casually said that it was "par for the course." After placing our drink orders, we waited 25 minutes for them to arrive, and then we ordered our meals. Over an hour later, we had to approach the kitchen to find out when our food would be served. It was evident that our meals had been sitting under a warmer for a while, as the taste and texture suggested. Additionally, the tables around us remained un-bussed for more than 45 minutes. The restaurant manager could not provide any explanation for the disarray. With so many fantastic dining options in Bloomington, I would recommend choosing any other restaurant over Southern Stone.

The staff at this restaurant was great! Despite being understaffed, the servers were friendly, the food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant.

I think Southern Stone is absolutely gorgeous! The spacious interior and outdoor seating are wonderful. The food was delicious, and I really enjoyed the mimosa flight. I will definitely be returning!
