Subway - Branford

I drove to this Subway location to pick up an Uber Eats order. Upon my arrival, I noticed all the lights were on and cash was sitting in the tip jar on the counter next to a sign indicating that the restaurant's hours stated they were open until 9 PM on Sundays. However, when I got there at 8:45 PM, there were no employees in sight. I called the restaurant's phone number, and a man answered. I informed him that I was there to pick up an order, but he insisted they were closed. I pointed out that it was only 8:50 PM, not 9 PM yet, but he continued to repeat that they were closed and abruptly hung up on me. I had to cancel the customer's order because the Subway employee had chosen to close early for no clear reason. The customer mentioned that I was the third Uber Eats driver who had tried to pick up their order, and each time, there were no employees available at the counter.

I hadn't eaten at Subway in about five years, so I decided to try it again. I ordered two twelve-inch turkey subs, a large drink, and two bags of chips, and it cost me $45. To my surprise, each sandwich had only about three pieces of turkey – it was honestly outrageous.

The online menu does not accurately represent the items available. The staff is rude and unprofessional, and they frequently get orders wrong. The only reason I keep returning is that I have a fondness for Subway, but this particular location is easily the worst one I’ve encountered, both in the country and around the world!

Stopped about 5:30 pm and there was a note posted on the glass covering the food that said closed for 20 min. Waited 15 while the two employees were out back peeking in the door periodically. One came into the back kitchen after 15 min and ignored us. The other employee walked out past us and didnt say a word. Before he exited the side door he turned and stated, were closed due to an emergency. He left. What the heck?

This is the worst subway in the country!!!! It’s 7:40pm on a Monday night and they say it’s closed because of traffic on the highway. The owner of this subway should be stripped of his franchise and all employees fired. You should be blessed to be open on a highway rest stop. Instead your employees treat it like playground for losers do something about it already!! Been like this for years now!
