Never usually write reviews but felt it was necessary to leave one to praise our wonderful waiter Nick !
After visiting the restaurant in Leeds we thought we would visit the Liverpool one, staying for the weekend to celebrate hubby's birthday, its a lot quieter than the Leeds one which we appreciated and we're seated in a separate room away from the bar which was comfortable, the lighting is very dim so as with others we were using the torches on our phones, think we were lucky to be given the best waitress she was amazing and definitely a hospitality expert, starters were tempura prawns and spare ribs, very nice delivered really quickly, next I had fillet steak ordered as extra duck egg cauliflower cheese, hubby had duck, again I do feel for the price you pay chips or mash should be included, mine was very salty, not sure if it was the steak sauce, we ordered dessert which were 4 different ones to share, delicious and came out with a beautiful birthday cheese cake with a candle for Barry, we did pay the optional service charge as the service was well worth it
Posting a review to warn fellow Coeliacs that I experienced an allergic reaction to gluten after dining at RBG Liverpool. Upon booking and prior to ordering, we informed the restaurant that I have a severe gluten allergy. I was provided with an allergen guide and advised that the dishes I ordered and ate were gluten free. I was even reassured that the restaurant had a separate fryer for gluten free. I was extremely unwell in the restaurant toilets and no one from the staff offered any sympathy, apology, help or refund. This attitude was extremely upsetting and disappointing, and made a terrible situation even worse. Wouldn’t recommend for Coeliacs as clearly the allergen guide is not up to date or cross contamination protocols are not being followed correctly.
Went for a meal with my pal on thursday and had the loveliest server called Nick. 11/10 service would go back :
