Contribuer aux commentairesRecently, I had lunch at this restaurant with a friend. We decided to share an order of chicken karage and both ordered the Samurai Ramen. My friend asked for no egg in their dish, so the server kindly added the egg to mine, which I was happy with. We also received a complimentary motoyaki appetizer, which included mushrooms, seaweed, and shrimp. It was a warm and delicious starter that I would love to have again. The chicken karage was unique because it was coated in a sweet Korean sauce instead of the usual spicy mayo. The breading was lighter than what I'm used to, but it worked well with the chicken. The Samurai Ramen was very filling, with plenty of bean sprouts and noodles. The noodles and egg were cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed them. My only complaint is that the ramen was advertised as spicy, but I didn't taste any heat, despite the broth being a vibrant orange-red color. However, they did provide shichimi togarashi for added spice. The pork slices in the ramen were lean, which isn't my preference, but they were larger than usual. Overall, I was satisfied with my meal and would definitely return to try other items on the menu.
Environment We arrived at Samurai Ramen and Sushi at noon. It was a cozy little Japanese restaurant bustling with customers. Fortunately, we were seated quickly. The interior was adorned with Japanese style decorations, including some traditional pictures on the walls. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Service Once seated, a friendly Japanese lady served us tea and provided helpful recommendations for our meal. Food Prices Following the server's suggestion, we ordered TAKOYAKI (5 pieces), SUSHI PIZZA, TONKOTSU RAMEN, SAMURAI SPECIAL ROLL, and MOTOYAKI (2 pieces). Each dish arrived promptly and was delicious. The MOTOYAKI (2 pieces) was a bit pricey at $6.00, but it was a tasty combination of mushroom, scallop, shrimp, and seaweed baked with Japanese mayonnaise. The TAKOYAKI balls were $7.00 for five pieces, and the SUSHI PIZZA cost $10.00. The TONKOTSU RAMEN was $13.50 and came with roasted pork, seaweed, bean sprouts, egg, and green onions. The SAMURAI SPECIAL ROLL, priced at $14.50, was a delightful combination of prawn tempura, salmon tempura, and avocado topped with seared tuna. In total, we spent $51.00. Overall, our experience at Samurai Ramen and Sushi was fantastic. It was our first time enjoying such delicious sushi in Calgary. Despite the slightly high prices, the quality of the food justified the cost. We highly recommend trying out Samurai Ramen and Sushi for a fantastic dining experience.

This restaurant is a charming, cozy spot with perfectly done tempura. The batter is light and crispy. The ramen was delicious, especially the creamy and well-seasoned samurai ramen broth. The egg had a strange sweet flavor, and the char siu was flavorful but could have had more meat. The service was pleasant and friendly, and they even gave us complimentary shrimp motoyaki.
Lovely place, great food and great servings for what you get. Staff was super friendly and even the store owner was cool to chat with us. <br/ <br/ Try the Samurai Ramen. Spicy without the kick killing you
