La Mouette - Cape Town

Each course is a delight. A discovery. And when you taste the wine they pair with their food your mouth explodes. One of the best meals I’ve had in SA.

Excellent dinner! We tried the 6 course wine tasting dinner. It was truly one of THE BEST restaurant experiences we have had anywhere! From the very different French onion soup, to the exquisite lemon meringue and 'milk and honey ' . . . and we were not disappointed by any of the middle courses! A well presented beet root salad, a ham hock tartiflette, pan fried calamari, lamb neck and beef fillet all surpassed expectations! And each of the wine pairings matched the deliciousness of the menu items! It was a true 5 star experience . . . Bravo La Mouette!

Thank you La Mouette. An excellent dinner on Saturday night. We had the tasting menu and enjoyed every dish and every bite. Always amazing full of flavour and textures. A must for everyone who loves fine, yummy and good food.

What a special dinner. We did the tasting menu. I am quite finicky but decided to give it a go. Tonight (after 26 years) I started eating avo, tuna and sweet wine. It was absolutely amazing. Whenever you het the chance to visit this amazing restaurant, please do. Friendly staff, impeccable vibe and food to die for. Thanks team La Mouette!!!!

Really enjoyed an evening at La Mouette last November together with my sister. We had a three course menu including wines and they matched with the food so well. The staff is wonderful and understanding how to please you. Thank you for this special experience. Absolutely recommandable!!!
