Additionally, three out of our group of seven had to wait an extra 5 to 7 minutes for their food after the rest of us were served. The croque monsieur I ordered was dry, overcooked, and overpriced at $17 for just fried potatoes, grilled ham, and cheese. Surprisingly, they weren't even busy during our visit.
My girlfriend and I visited on a Saturday to enjoy their live jazz performance along with dinner. Although the menu was limited, it exceeded our expectations. We were pleased with everything we ordered. The decor combines modern touches with the building's historical architecture beautifully. The staff and ambiance were friendly and inviting. This place is a wonderful hidden gem in Cleveland.
We visited the restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday, which she had reserved weeks in advance. Upon arrival, we were seated outside due to a private party that they hadn't informed her about at the time of booking. The service was quite disappointing; one of the servers repeatedly responded with "I don't know" to our questions. Another server came to take our orders again because there had been numerous mistakes with the initial orders, but unfortunately, she didn't seem to improve the situation either. We spent nearly an hour just waiting for our food.
Although we?ve eaten at the other local Edwin?s establishments many times, this was our first Edwin?s Too brunch. As expected, great food, great service. Home fries were especially good crunchy outside, creamy and perfectly cooked inside, just some salt for seasoning.
The brunch was wonderful! Easily the best meal out I?ve had in a year of living in Cleveland. I walked away wanting the **** Mary recipe, and my friend who grew up in coastal Louisiana, said the grits were the best he?d ever eaten. And it?s not enough that the food is simply fantastic, it?s also a 501c(3) back-to-work program, and the vision of one person trying to make a difference. Feeds the body and the soul.
