The next day, we decided to go out for coffee when we returned housekeeping was in our room and had bagged our belongings as if they were trash and we haven't even checked out nor was it time to check out of our room.Rooms: 1/5
We stayed in a suite, we had 5 adults which we called ahead for, to have an extra roll away beds blankets towels and pillows. When we arrived there were towels for two no extra blankets sheets or pillows, had to wait for beds. Went to use some dishes since we had a kitchen, dirty dishes in the cabinet, and rest of dishes in dishwasher dirty. The thermostat was hanging off the wall. When rollaway beds came, looked as if they had dirty linens on them. I will say the man that had to bring everything that we should have had, was extremely helpful and kind. In the morning we spoke to the front desk again because we went to take showers there was no soap or shampoo in the bottles that they had attached to the shower wall. Seems as though the housekeeping staff did not do their job properly when setting/cleaning this room. The young woman at the desk did apologize and comp part of the room. That's why the staff got the four stars, for trying to help with these problems. The hotel itself only one star since it should have been taken care of to begin with.
Overpriced outdated Hampton InnThis is the 4th Hampton Inn we stayed at. It was the most expensive $260USD/night and most disappointing.Pros: quick check-in, OK breakfast and there is a good restaurant right beside the hotel, and a Starbucks at the other end of the parking lot.The bed covers and bathroom towels looked white and clean.Cons: The wireless connection didn't work until we got a sepcial passcode.Once we arrived at the 4th floor we were hit by a strong punching smell. The carpet in the hallway and in the room had multiple stains. Furniture had a lot of wear and tear. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom and no glasses. The air conditioning was so loud that we had to turn it off overnight, but then we woke up because it was too warm in the room. The most disappointing was that this hotel had no recycling program in place. We did not see a single recycling bin in the entire hotel, while cups and utensils were all plastic or paper.Rooms: The carpet looked old, stained and dirty brown in some places. No Saif, only 3 gangers in the closet and a very old style of TV with minimal options on the remote control.
We booked this particular hotel because they had suites available and we are a family of 5. Loved the high ceilings in our 5th floor suite, and it was one of the largest rooms/suites we've ever had. My kids loved seeing dogs in the lobby and it's nice to know this spot is pet friendly for the future. We visit VT frequently so we'll definitely be back!Rooms: Spacious and clean
I would not stay at this property again. I stayed 6 nights. No room cleaning service in spite of paying over $200 a night for the room! I requested cleaning, and got a partial clean. No fresh towels. It should not be my responsibility to beg for a clean room. I checked out on the app like normal, but never got a receipt. I have requested a formal business receipt and the one the uploaded showed zero...no breakdown for a formal IRS receipt. Still trying to resolve this a week later. Hotel is split level with reception on the 3rd floor. there is only ONE elevator that goes to the rear parking and it was out of service the whole time I was there, and very limited parking in the front. Clearly the owner is not following Hampton Inn brand standards. I've been a Diamond Member for years and know what a stay should be like. I'll find a different hotel next time.
