Silver Caboose Soda Fountain

This was by far and above an amazing experience. The only negative I could say is the wait time was crazy. Which just means that’s how popular this place is and they don’t have a lot of seating options available. They had a lot of elderly clientele and so every time wed get a seat to sit and wait someone else would come in and wed give up our seats so they could sit. But standing you are in everyone’s way. So that was uncomfortable. And some of the carpet and equipment around looked like it’s had a lot of wear and tear so could use some attention given the high amount of traffic this place sees. But the decor, the feel, the food, the staff were all a 5 star experience. We all tried something different and it all was amazing. Our server was so personable and even joked and laughed with us. The only food items we didn’t like were their pies. We all got something different and none of those were good. But everything else was delicious!! I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back!! (Also walk around the area if you have time. It’s such a nice town)

I eat here often and the food and service is always Great! It is my first choice for comfort food!

What a horrible disappointment! I bought the frozen chicken and dressing and green beans for dinner. After cooking, the chicken and dressing was awful. Not sure the chicken was real, the gravy was like pudding/jello and the dressing had no taste. I could have saved $7.00 by opening a can of green beans because that’s what they tasted like. We didn’t eat any of it after one bite. I would not recommend frozen or otherwise meals from Silver Caboose. Never again. I do not recommend.

I love places that feel like home. They have food for everyone. Just don't ask for white gravy for country fried steak they only have brown. This place is a unique Fried Green Tomato movie Cafe. Plus it has tomato aspic, corned beef sandwiches, old school country cooking. Do salt and pepper though. And do request the best dern coconut custard pie you'd ever put in your mouth. Plus the soda fountain. Oy!

Eat lunch there with friends from time to time and love it.
